CustodianReports To: Association Janitorial DirectorFLSA Type: Non-ExemptPosition Description:To carry out the custodial responsibilities in maintaining buildings as outlined in the YOKC Maintenance Manual. Minimal direction and supervision are necessary for this position, must be a self-starter!Duties And Responsibilities:Ensure Mirrors/Windows/Glass were cleaned dailyTrash Management (emptied and wipe containers)Vacuum All Carpet AreasToilet/Urinal/Sink Clean and DisinfectRefill and Clean DispensersShowers Disinfect and Clean throughout the day and as neededScrub/Mop Hard Floors (maintain clean flooring surfaces)Assist with Deep Clean (Carpet, Tile, etc.)High DustAssist with Stairwell/Running Track detailAir Dispenser Cartridge ChangeAssist with Exterior Window CleaningReport any facility issues through supervisorSecure facility at the end of shiftDevelop meaningful and sustainable relationships with members, donors, and volunteers.Assist in all other duties that pertain to JanitorialEffect On End Results:The Custodial position plays a critical role in the overall success of the organization. It does this by providing one of the essential tools required in achieving the goals of the association; a safe, clean, enjoyable environment.Additional Comments:The incumbent will also work hours outside of operational hours. This position requires regular travel to facilities in the OKC metro and surrounding cities.
Requirements:
Must stay current in CPR/AED/O2 and First Aid, renewed annually. (Training provided by the Y, if needed)Must complete officials trainingMust complete all required Redwoods Trainings within 30 days of hire and renewed annuallyHigh school diploma or equivalent3 years of experience in custodial workMust have good communication skills, and the ability to follow directionsAble to use technology to report facility issues and time management
