Job description
Custom ApplicatorThe Custom Applicator is responsible for the safe and efficient application of crop protection products, fertilizer, and other agronomic inputs for customers operations. This role supports agronomy sales and operations by delivering a high-quality application service to customers in the region.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate self-propelled sprayers, floaters, spreaders, tenders, and other application equipment safely and efficientlyApply fertilizer, crop protection products, lime, and other inputs according to label, agronomic recommendations, and company standardsEnsure accurate blending, mixing, calibration, and application ratesPerform daily equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairsMaintain application records and documentation in compliance with company, state, and federal regulationsLoad and transport products safely while following DOT and OSHA guidelinesAssist with agronomy operations including seed handling, warehousing, and inventory management as neededCommunicate with agronomy staff and customers regarding field conditions, application timing, and service needsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrevious custom application, farming, or agronomy operations experience preferredCDL or ability to obtain CDL preferredCommercial Applicator License or ability to obtain required certificationsMechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment maintenanceKnowledge of agronomy practices, crop inputs, and precision application technology preferredAll qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
