Infrared Detector Assembly TechnicianTeledyne Technologies Incorporated provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets that require advanced technology and high reliability. These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.Job Summary: Follow production routing and assembly drawings to build Infrared detector onto either small metal (TO) packages or liquid nitrogen (LN2) Dewars. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Using Toolmakers microscope, position and epoxy mount detectors onto ceramic substrates within.010"Working under Stereo Microscope, epoxy small components using tweezers, picks and other small hand tools.Using manual gold wire bonder, wirebond detectors, substrates and packages.Hand soldering and RF soldering of small components and wires.Take accurate and precise measurements.Qualifications & CompetenciesWorking knowledge of the operation of bonding and assemblyUnderstanding and demonstrated knowledge of the following:Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.Manual gold wire bondingHand soldering/RF solderingAssemblyEpoxy applicationsESD handlingProven experienced assemblerPossess good manual dexterityDetail oriented. Organized and maintain clear and accurate record keepingTeam oriented with strong sense of urgencyExcellent verbal, written and presentation communication skillsBasic computer proficiency using Microsoft Word and ExcelDisplays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practicesAbility to travel (domestically/internationally) approximately 0%.Education and/or ExperienceHS Diploma & 10-15 years of experienceExperience in one or more of the following areas:Ability to read drawingsWire bondingSoldering and AssemblyEpoxy applicationsCitizenship RequirementsDue to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
