Customer Engineer Opportunity at AegisAIAegisAI is redefining email and cybersecurity with native, Agentic AI threat detection. We build autonomous AI security agents that stop zero-day attacks, payload-less phishing, BEC, and shadow AI risks before they touch enterprise networks.Our mission is to replace legacy Secure Email Gateways (SEGs) with API-native protection that connects in minutes without MX record changes or infrastructure friction. We are fast-paced, product-led, and driven by deep AI engineering.The RoleWe are looking for a Customer Engineer who pairs deep AI fluency with hands-on technical architecture and customer-facing agility. As a Sales Engineer at AegisAI, you will be the technical powerhouse driving enterprise technical evaluations, guiding API-first installations, analyzing threat evaluation data, and architecting custom security integrations for prospective customers.You'll bridge the gap between complex Agentic AI models and security operations (SecOps) teams, proving how AegisAI catches the sophisticated threats legacy systems miss.What You'll DoArchitect Enterprise AI Security Solutions: Partner closely with Enterprise Account Executives to design, present, and position AegisAI's platform to CISOs, Security Architects, and SecOps leaders.Drive API-First Onboarding & PoCs: Guide prospective clients through seamless, read-only API deployments—enabling enterprise customers to connect AegisAI in under 5 minutes without MX record changes or downtime.Analyze & Deliver Threat Reports: Parse raw detection data, benchmark AegisAI against legacy SEGs, and present compelling threat audits to prospects, demonstrating zero-day threats, BEC, and impersonation attempts caught.Master Agentic AI & AI Risk: Deeply understand our Agentic AI detection models, AI Red Teaming agents, and Shadow AI/SaaS discovery capabilities to clearly articulate how our models operate compared to basic machine learning or rule-based engines.Customer-to-Product Feedback Loop: Work directly with our Engineering, Threat Intelligence, and Product teams to translate customer feedback, API feature requests, and edge cases into our product roadmap.What We're Looking For3+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Account Manager in Cybersecurity (Email Security, Cloud Security, SIEM/SOAR, or Identity Management preferred).AI & Machine Learning Fluency: Strong conceptual and technical understanding of modern AI architectures, NLP, agentic systems, and how ML models detect anomalous payload-less attacks.Hands-on API & Cloud Technical Skills: Comfortable with REST APIs, cloud email infrastructure (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace), and basic scripting/querying to inspect log data and troubleshoot API integrations.Data-Driven Storytelling: Demonstrated ability to take raw threat detection analytics and translate them into executive-level risk assessments for CISOs and security stakeholders.Fast-Paced Startup Mentality: Thrives in a rapidly scaling Series A environment where flexibility, ownership, and direct collaboration with engineering are daily requirements.Nice to HavesExperience competing against or replacing traditional Secure Email Gateways (SEGs).Knowledge of Shadow AI discovery, SaaS governance, or enterprise identity risk.Background in threat hunting, SOC analysis, or detection engineering.Why AegisAI?High-Impact Work: Build and sell software at the bleeding edge of Agentic AI and cybersecurity.World-Class Team: Work alongside top-tier AI researchers, threat intelligence leaders, and enterprise security veterans.Competitive Compensation: Top-of-market salary, equity packages, and comprehensive benefits.
