Customer Quality Inspector (DSQR)Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Customer Quality Inspector (DSQR) - 2nd Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD!This is a 2nd shift position with core hours of 1 pm - 9 pm OR 2 pm - 10 pm, Monday - Friday.The hourly rate for this position is $28.00 per hour + 10% shift premium.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What You'll Do:The Customer Quality Inspector has familiarity with all aspects of the inspection process; blueprint reading and specification interpretation, use of standard gaging equipment (calipers, micrometers, comparators). Understanding of aerospace document control procedures.In this role, you will:Work with cross functional team to manage and prioritize work orders to ensure customer demand and the production schedules are met.Verify compliance with the customer's requirements and verify supplier documentation.Check documentation (from Purchase Order to Certificate of Conformity)Visual inspection (marking, appearance, condition) as allowed by customerCheck dimensional characteristicsEnsure that the FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) has been approved by the customerRecord inspection operations in logDeclare and document any non-conformityQualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institutionMinimum of one (1) year of aerospace quality experienceExperience with aerospace documentation including Certificates of Conformity, Inspection Records, travelers, and work orders.Experience reading and understanding blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.Eaton will not consider applicants for employment, immigration sponsorship or support for this position. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.Preferred Qualifications:2+ years of experience as a DSQR in Aerospace industryExperience with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Experience working within an AS9100 certified quality management system.Experience reviewing, preparing, or validating AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).Experience with source inspection, supplier quality, or customer quality assurance activities.Experience working with controlled technical data, including ITAR, EAR, and CUI requirements.Experience with aerospace customer requirements and flow-down compliance.Ability to interpret and apply GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5.Skills:Strong communication skills both written and verbally.Must be able to lift up 35lbs on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arm's length, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch for 8+ hours/day with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to work in a team environment.Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute percentages, area, circumference, and volume; draw and interpret bar graphsKnowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures and equipment, manufacturing methods, routings, and standards
