Job description
Field-Based Sales EngineerThis is a field-based role responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of major resource and heavy industrial accounts across all mining regions in Queensland.You will work closely with site-based maintenance and engineering teams, providing technical guidance and commercial solutions across installed equipment and new project opportunities.Territory will include open-cut and underground coal operations, mineral processing facilities, CHPPs, bulk materials handling systems, heavy industrial sites, and mining contractors across the region.Your main responsibilities:Build and strengthen long-term partnerships with mining and industrial customersIdentify opportunities to expand supply of bearings and power transmission productsSupport shutdowns, reliability initiatives, and plant improvement projectsPursue upgrade and project opportunitiesConduct regular on-site visits to maintain strong customer engagementProvide technical recommendations aligned to operational requirementsManage commercial negotiations and account development strategiesMaintain a structured territory plan to achieve revenue growth targetsWhat We're Looking ForA proven ability to build, manage and grow key customer accounts.Confidence engaging with Maintenance Managers, Reliability Engineers, Mechanical Engineers and Procurement teams.Strong business-development skills and a proactive, results-focused approach.The ability to work independently in a regional, field-based role.Willingness to travel with a current and valid driver's license.Desirable experience and qualifications:Experience in the bearings and power transmission industry.Hands-on experience working with rotating machinery.Established networks within mining or heavy industry.Familiarity with mine-site access requirements and shutdown environments.A Mechanical Engineering qualification or relevant trade background, such as Fitter & Turner.Candidates transitioning from site-based mechanical roles into technical sales are encouraged to apply.What We Offer:Tool of trade provided | iPhone + Laptop + provided company carMarket aligned remuneration with annual salary reviews: Your salary grows with your skills and performance.Career progression: Build a long-term career with clear development pathways, supported by free webinars, training events and learning courses.Comprehensive benefits: Incentive, Motion-provided uniforms, parental-leave top-up support and confidential wellbeing support through our Employee Assistance Program.Health and wellbeing: Enjoy up to $30 flu vaccination rebate and discounted Bupa health insurance options.Give back to your community: Access one paid Good to Give volunteer leave day each calendar year, in addition to your standard leave entitlements.
