Customer Service Representative
Location : Nashville, TN
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Range:
$23/HR+, depending on experience
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join a growing distribution company in Nashville , TN . This position will serve as a key point of contact for customers, helping manage orders, resolve issues, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure a positive customer experience from order placement through delivery.
The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to effectively balance customer needs with operational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding orders, product availability, shipping updates, and general inquiries
* Enter and process customer orders accurately and efficiently
* Track orders and provide customers with timely updates on shipment and delivery status
* Coordinate with warehouse, distribution, purchasing, and sales teams to resolve order or inventory issues
* Research and resolve customer concerns related to shortages, damaged products, incorrect shipments, returns, or delivery delays
* Maintain accurate customer and order information within the company's ERP or order management system
* Process returns, credits, and replacements as needed
* Communicate professionally with customers by phone and email
* Maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal departments
* Identify potential issues proactively and work toward timely solutions
* Assist with additional administrative and customer service responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
* 1+ years of customer service, order management, distribution, logistics, or related experience preferred
* Experience working within a distribution, manufacturing, warehouse, or supply chain environment is a plus
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
* Experience with ERP, CRM, or order management systems preferred
* Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong commitment to customer service
