CHB SupervisorCompany/Industry: Freight forwarderLocation: Great Neck, NYSalary: Commensurate with experience + benefitsPosition type: Direct Hire, FT On-siteThe Brokerage Supervisor performs all duties correctly and in compliance with all government regulations and is responsible for supervision and control of all US Customs related activities of the department. This role offers growth to CHB Manager in the near future.Responsibilities:Develop and mentor team members on an ongoing basisFiling accurate and timely entries, have timely dispatch of cargo and follow up regarding proof of delivery, and ensure timely and accurate billing for both team and personal accountsUnderstand all departmental functions – i.e. billing, Customs compliance, ISF, etc.Ensure customer SOP's, U.S. government agency regulations, Corporate standards and SOP's are adhered toTroubleshoot and resolve complicated operational and billing issuesDemonstrate solid decision-making skills and an ability to prioritize ever-changing daily tasksDelegate tasks, workloads and project work within the teamAttend customer meetings and maintain assigned customer relationships; maximize opportunities to improve customer service and business opportunitiesExecute team entry and billing audits to ensure accuracy and assess training needsRequired SkillsExcellent current knowledge of US Customs Brokerage requirements.Excellent computer literacy including CargoWise and MS productsCHB LicenseCompensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $80,000.00 - $90,000.00All compensation and pay rates are dependent upon skills and experience.
