Job Summary
Join a high-performing Cardiovascular Operating Room team and play a critical role in complex cardiac and vascular surgical procedures. This opportunity is ideal for experienced CVOR RNs seeking a specialized surgical environment, as well as seasoned Operating Room nurses interested in cross-training into Cardiovascular Surgery. Work alongside expert surgeons and multidisciplinary teams in a state-of-the-art surgical setting focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care before, during, and after cardiovascular surgical procedures
Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with all perioperative standards
Prepare surgical suites, instruments, and patients for cardiac and vascular procedures
Perform pre-operative patient assessments and participate in surgical time-outs
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and surgical staff
Monitor patient safety and advocate for quality outcomes throughout the surgical process
Serve as a resource and team member within Surgical Services
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of CVOR RN experience in an acute care setting required
Experienced OR Nurses with 3+ years of Operating Room experience may be considered for CVOR cross-training
Associate Degree in Nursing required *BSN preferred
Active Texas RN License or Compact RN License required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
CNOR certification preferred
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $38.03 – $57.05 per hour (based on experience)
On-Call Pay: $5.00 per hour
Sign-On Bonus: Available on a case-by-case basis
Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis

Schedule: Full-Time - Day Shift | No Regular Weekends
10-Hour Shifts (4 Days per Week) or 12-Hour Shifts (3 Days per Week)
Hours of Operation: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
On-Call Requirement
1 Weekend Per Month
3–4 Weekdays Per Month
