Assists in moving, positioning, and prepping patients for surgical procedures.Maintains cleanliness and organization of surgical areas, ensuring all equipment is properly sterilized and available.Stocks surgical areas with necessary supplies, linens, PPE, and hand sanitizer.Monitors and maintains warming cabinets with blankets and fluids.Cleans and stores equipment properly after use.Transports patients to ICU or other departments as needed.Performs other duties as assigned under the direction and supervision of the OR Director/Manager/Supervisor/Charge RN.Transports blood products from the blood bank to the OR safely and efficiently.Runs for equipment and supplies as needed during procedures.Disposes of linens, regular waste, hazardous waste, and sharps containers in appropriate disposal areas.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBasic computer and keyboarding skills (Required)Excellent communication skills (Required)Education:High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)Field of Study:High School or GED upon hireWork Experience:1+ experience in an operating room (Preferred)Licenses and Certifications:Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) (Required)Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements) Physical Requirements - Range:$16.02 - $25.63Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.Applicants may review general information about Florida's background screening requirements at the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse: facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
