Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)G&W Products is a leading contract metal manufacturer and fabricator. Founded in 1968, we specialize in metal stamping, laser cutting, fabrication, manual and robotic welding, tool and die work, powder coating, and assembly. Our three Fairfield, Ohio facilities provide 190,000 square feet of manufacturing space and serve industries including construction, transportation, energy, and defense. We are now hiring a Certified Weld Inspector.This position works closely with weld supervisors, leads, and welders to conduct dimensional and weld inspections and verify workmanship, quality, and safety standards.What do I need to bring?Must be AWS, Certified Weld Inspector (CWI)2+ years of weld inspection, requiredMust be proficient at reading weld symbols and blue-print drawingsManufacturing experience, preferredExperience with D1.1 and Ground Combat Vehicle Welding code for aluminum and steelCapable of using measuring equipment (i.e. fillet gages, calipers, height gages, etc.)Proficiency in GD&T preferredHigh School Diploma or EquivalentAbility to lift 45 lbs.Responsibilities:Observe testing and confirming welds meet required standardsPartner with the Weld Inspection leaders to develop and approve required weld documentationPerform weld auditsComplete other duties as assignedAll G&W employees are expected to uphold our Winning Core Values:IntegrityPositive Mental AttitudeCommitmentCustomer DrivenLifetime LearnerWhat do we offer?Competitive payExcellent benefits beginning the first day of the month after 30 days of employmentVacation, 401(k) company match, and paid holidaysG&W Products is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on protected characteristics in employment opportunities.
