At HSB, you'll handle high-complexity cyber claims across both personal and commercial lines , navigating multi-coverage scenarios, interpreting policy language, and making thoughtful, well-supported coverage decisions.

What Makes This Role Different

Not a processing role - You'll analyze, interpret, and make decisions on complex claims

High complexity exposure - Claims may involve multiple coverages, competing policy language, and multimillion-dollar exposure

Variety and challenge - From data breaches to system damage to liability claims, you'll never see the same claim twice

True critical thinking - Fact patterns can lead to different outcomes depending on policy interpretation

What You'll Do

Analyze complex cyber claims involving multiple coverage triggers (e.g., system damage, liability, data compromise, litigation)

Interpret and apply policy language and contract language to determine accurate coverage decisions

Investigate claims, assess facts, and evaluate causation and loss scenarios

Draft detailed, well-supported coverage letters explaining decisions clearly and professionally

Communicate with insureds and stakeholders in difficult, high-stakes situations with empathy and clarity

Manage a portfolio of claims while balancing quality, accuracy, and timeliness

Deliver a consistent, professional customer experience while upholding claims standards

Qualifications:

A High School diploma is required. College degree is preferred.

1+ year experience in customer facing, financial, or service oriented position.

2+ years experience in the Property/Casualty insurance industry and/or as a Claims Adjuster is a plus.

Adjuster licenses as required by state.

The base salary range anticipated for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).

The salary estimate is adjusted to reflect the varying market conditions across different locations. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
