Job description

About company

Plum Research (an Ampere Analysis company) is a data and analytics company specialising in audience measurement for the global entertainment industry. Headquartered in Poland and operating worldwide, Plum Research provides detailed insights into viewership behaviour across streaming platforms, TV networks, and film studios. With proprietary data collection technology and advanced analytical tools, Plum helps media clients make smarter content, licensing, and marketing decisions.

About the role

As a Data Analyst at Plum Research, you’ll work with large-scale audience data to understand how people watch and engage with content across global streaming platforms. You’ll work extensively in SQL, with Python for deeper analysis, data processing and automation. A big part of the role is turning ambiguous questions into clear analytical problems, investigating the data, and working out what the results actually mean. You’ll also communicate your findings to clients and internal teams, from answering ad-hoc questions to presenting analysis and explaining the story behind the numbers.

Turn ambiguous or loosely defined questions into clear analytical problems and practical solutions

Support ongoing data quality initiatives, ensuring our data outputs are gold standard

Support client teams by responding to analytical questions and delivering fast, reliable solutions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine products and improve research accuracy

Who we are looking for (must-have)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate unexpected results and identify the underlying cause

SQL for querying, transforming, and integrating large datasets

Solid understanding of statistical concepts and data interpretation

Strong attention to detail and high standards for data integrity

Excellent communication skills – especially in explaining analytical findings

1-2 years of previous experience in a data analyst role

Nice to have

Familiarity with the TV, streaming, or film industry

Experience with BI tools or visualisation platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
