Data Center Mep SuperintendentLocation: On-site in Cedar Rapids, IAA leading construction organization specializing in complex, high-performance environments is seeking a Data Center Mep Superintendent to support the delivery of large-scale, mission critical projects. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in building advanced infrastructure that powers today's digital economy. The ideal candidate will thrive in fast-paced environments, take ownership of field operations, and bring deep expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within technically demanding builds.This Role Offers:Competitive compensation with comprehensive benefitsExposure to complex, large-scale data center and mission critical constructionStrong pipeline of ongoing and upcoming projectsCollaborative, performance-driven culture with advancement opportunitiesOpportunity to lead critical Mep scopes on impactful buildsKey Responsibilities:Lead daily field operations for Mep scopes on mission critical construction projectsCoordinate construction sequencing, manpower planning, and material procurementPartner with project leadership to develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including short-term look-ahead plansOversee subcontractor performance, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and quality expectationsFacilitate preconstruction and coordination meetings with internal teams and trade partnersMonitor installation progress, proactively identifying and resolving field issuesEnsure compliance with construction documents, codes, and safety standardsCommunicate project updates, risks, and milestones to stakeholders and leadershipDrive quality control efforts through regular inspections and adherence to standardsSupport labor planning, workforce coordination, and productivity optimizationQualifications:5 plus years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on Mep systemsProven experience on mission critical or data center projects strongly preferredBachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experienceStrong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and sequencingAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsExperience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple tradesKnowledge of applicable building codes and industry standardsStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsProficiency with construction management software tools is a plusWillingness to work on-site and support project demandsAbout Blue Signal:Blue Signal is an award-winning, executive search firm specializing in various specialties.
