Job description

Data Collection InternAt MSA, we believe the best learning happens through teamwork, mentorship, and hands-on experience. We are looking for a Data Collection Intern to conduct traffic counts and other data collection in the counties of La Crosse and Monroe WI.This is a great role for someone who is successful at working independently, communicating with the team effectively, and looking for an internship with a flexible schedule (Mon-Thurs, with Fridays being optional).MSA internships are typically at least 12 weeks in duration, ranging from mid-May 2027 to mid-August 2027, with start/exit dates confirmed later in the hiring process. We're genuine co-owners, and this ESOP setup promotes a culture of collaboration and engagement throughout MSA because we all have a direct financial interest as owners."-Project Engineer Transportation, Cedar Rapids OfficeResponsibilitiesField Work/Construction ManagementTraffic counting, topographic survey, or other project data collectionComplete reports and documentation on traffic data collectionConstruction field inspection/staking operationsComplete Inspector Daily Reports (IDR's) and other DOT reportsMeasure and compute item quantities installed on the projectQualificationsPursuing either of the following degrees required:Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or related) with a transportation focus preferredAssociate's degree in civil engineering technology (or related)Freshman or sophomore standing requiredA valid driver's license requiredSolid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel requiredA desire to learn more about transportation engineering projects in a consulting industryThis position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer.
