Job description
We’re looking for a Data Engineer to help build and support scalable enterprise data pipelines and transformations in a modern cloud environment. This hybrid role in Boston offers the chance to work on impactful data solutions using tools like Python, SQL, dbt, Snowflake, and AWS Airflow.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and transformation workflows that support enterprise data needs
Build efficient ETL and data integration solutions for large-scale data processing
Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data products
Support data platform performance, stability, and high availability through monitoring and troubleshooting
Apply data governance, security, and compliance best practices across solutions
Contribute to cloud-based data initiatives and modern data engineering practices
Use orchestration and automation tools to streamline data operations and improve workflow efficiency
Stay current with emerging trends and help identify opportunities for innovation in the data ecosystem
Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL
Background in data engineering, data platforms, or a related field
Experience building and supporting data pipelines, ETL processes, and data modeling solutions
Knowledge of Snowflake and cloud data environments
Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as AWS Airflow
Ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile environment
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Clear communication and a collaborative mindset
Preferred Skills
Experience with dbt
Exposure to AI in data environments
Familiarity with additional cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with big data technologies like Spark, Kafka, or Hadoop
Knowledge of streaming or real-time data processing
Understanding of DevOps practices as they apply to data engineering
Certification in a cloud data platform or related specialty
