Data Loss Prevention Analyst Cloud/InfrastructureRockville, Maryland Sep 3, 2026 Data Loss Prevention Analyst Remote Blu Omega is seeking a Data Loss Prevention Analyst to support a federal program focused on cybersecurity operations. This role operates within a remote environment and is responsible for managing and maintaining the Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) system to ensure the protection of sensitive healthcare data. The position requires experience supporting cybersecurity monitoring, incident response, and data protection within a government or large organizational setting.Program Overview This NIH team provides 24/7 cybersecurity monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and threat detection to support NIH's mission of safeguarding health and research data.ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain the existing Symantec DLP environment following established processesMonitor DLP alerts, identify security incidents, and investigate findingsResolve alerts promptly to prevent data leaks or unauthorized accessDocument actions and coordinate with security teams for system maintenance and updatesMaintain system health and ensure compliance with data protection standardsSupport vulnerability management activities, including scanning, triage, reporting, remediation, and verificationContribute to continuous monitoring and threat detection efforts aligned with federal cybersecurity standardsProvide data analytics support for detection, response, and trend analysisRequired QualificationsHands-on experience operating Symantec DLP solutionsStrong alert management and incident resolution skillsFamiliarity with DLP policies, workflows, and reportingAbility to analyze security findings and take corrective actionsGood communication skills for documenting and coordinating incident responsesPreferred QualificationsExperience with NIH or federal cybersecurity environmentsKnowledge of enterprise cybersecurity best practices and incident managementRelevant cybersecurity or data protection certificationsCompensation Salary Range: $52,812.95 - $77,812.95 Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.Company Overview Blu Omega is a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) delivering technology and cybersecurity solutions to federal agencies and enterprise clients nationwide.
