Job description
Data ScientistWorking with little or no supervision, the Data Scientist applies expertise in statistical analysis, complex data mining, and artificial intelligence to turn raw data into actionable insights. The role designs analytical solutions, models, simulations, and visualizations that support descriptive and predictive decision-making.
Key responsibilities:
Analyze large, complex datasets using statistical, machine-learning, and artificial-intelligence techniques.Transform raw data from multiple sources into concise, actionable insights.Design and implement data-driven solutions.Develop advanced analytical methods, data models, and visualizations.Develop quantitative simulations and models.Provide descriptive and predictive analytical recommendations.Identify trends, anomalies, and business problems through big-data analysis.Apply data models based on business requirements.Validate data-mining methods and machine-learning models.Communicate analytical techniques, concepts, findings, and products.Maintain knowledge of emerging tools and techniques in machine learning, statistical modeling, and analytics.
Minimum qualifications:
At least 6 years of relevant experience in machine learning, data science, applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, operations research, or a closely related quantitative discipline.Master’s degree in statistics, applied mathematics, data science, computer science, operations research, or a closely related discipline.Ability to apply models involving: Entity resolution.Risk-based analysis.Entity behavior over time.Network analysis.Cohort analysis.Demonstrated ability to apply and validate data-mining and machine-learning methods.Ability to present analytical results through reports and data visualizations.
