JOB DESCRIPTION: Entry-Level Virtual Estimator
We are looking for a motivated individual to assist with estimating tasks using CostX (or other similar construction estimating software), support contract administration, and provide general administrative assistance. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, a keen willingness to learn, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients, tradespeople, and team members. Minimal experience is required, and training will be provided.

All responsibilities of an experienced estimator listed below also apply to the junior estimator but with reduced complexity and oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
Use CostX software (or other similar construction estimating software) to handle the entire estimating process from earthworks to project completion.
Input plans and specifications into the software.
Complete takeoffs for all construction phases, including materials, labor, and costs.
Prepare, review, and send tenders and pricing details to clients and contractors.
Contract Administration:
Assist with the management and review of construction contracts.
Ensure all contractual documents are in place, accurate, and comply with regulatory standards.
Track project timelines and budgets to ensure contract terms are met.
Handle change orders, variations, and contract amendments as necessary.
Communication and Coordination:
Liaise with clients, tradespeople, and internal team members to ensure smooth project execution.
Maintain clear and effective communication regarding project status, deadlines, and updates.
Administrative Support:
Provide administrative assistance, including data entry, document management, and scheduling.
Support management with reporting and task delegation.
Requirements
Skills and Experience Required:
6mos to 1 year experience in construction estimating in Australia.
Minimal experience in construction procurement.
Basic knowledge of contract administration within a construction environment.
Strong administrative skills, including data entry and managing project documentation.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
