Job description
Merit Health Wesley is seeking a Daytime Hospitalist Physician to join our collaborative inpatient care team. Position Highlights
Schedule: 7-on / 7-off
Shift Length: 12‑hour daytime shifts
Compensation: $160/hour
Hospital‑employed position
Fast‑paced, collaborative hospital environment
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive inpatient care for hospitalized patients
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
Perform hospital‑based procedures including: Central lines
Intubations
Codes and emergency response procedures
Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, specialists, and ancillary teams
Ensure timely documentation and effective patient care coordination
Adhere to hospital quality, safety, and clinical protocols
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
Current Mississippi medical license or eligibility for licensure
Comfortable performing hospital‑based procedures
Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical decision‑making skills
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced inpatient setting
