Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce QA Engineer to join the Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Salesforce testing, test automation, integration validation, and end-to-end QA processes within enterprise applications. This is a mid-level senior role requiring hands-on experience in Salesforce platform testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
The candidate should be comfortable working in a hybrid onsite model and must attend an in-person interview in Michigan.
Key Responsibilities
Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for Salesforce applications.
Validate Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and custom Salesforce implementations.
Develop and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on business requirements.
Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Scrum Teams, and Stakeholders to ensure application quality.
Perform API and backend validation testing using tools like Postman or SOAP UI.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Identify, document, track, and manage defects using Jira or similar defect tracking tools.
Execute data validation and backend testing using SQL queries.
Support UAT activities and production validation efforts.
Collaborate with automation teams and contribute to automation framework improvements where applicable.
Ensure compliance with QA standards, best practices, and release management processes.
Required Qualifications
8-12 years of overall QA/testing experience.
Strong hands-on experience testing Salesforce applications.
Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
Solid understanding of STLC and defect lifecycle management.
Experience in manual testing and exposure to automation testing tools.
Strong SQL skills for backend data validation.
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SOAP UI.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and interact with onsite/offshore teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce certifications are a plus.
Experience in Healthcare or Insurance domain preferred.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is an added advantage.
Experience with Selenium or other automation frameworks is preferred.
