These assessments help us evaluate the skills, abilities, and work-related strengths needed for the role and provide additional insight as we determine the best fit for both the candidate and our team.Summary of Duties: Provides technical expertise to prepare, clean, assemble, and test various production units to ensure full satisfaction of customers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Receive, check, and verify sub-parts needed for work orders and jobs; resolve any discrepanciesPrepare and clean product using various methods including water and compressed airUse hand tools to remove burrs from machined partsClean product components using various methods: compressed air, water, deburring, etc.Test assemblies at both in-process and final check points as per documented test proceduresSpecific Duties Assigned: Cleaning, Preparation, Assembly & TestFollow specific written and oral instruction for product preparationProficiently produce simple and complex components to the highest standardsAssemble product correctly using wrenches, sockets, torque wrenches, and other hand toolsApply thread sealants, seals, and lubricants as needed during assemblyDemonstrate proficiency in flow-bench programming and softwareInput all build data and accurately voucher time and materials into the manufacturing software systemAssist the team in ensuring department production, efficiency, and safety goals are metQuality Assurance – Inspection PreparationPrepare product for dye penetrant testing; clean product afterward using waterIdentify product by engraving serial numbers into unit per specificationsPromote and meet Quality Policy and ISO standards and customer expectationsGeneral Responsibilities:Receive and understand daily job assignments, priorities, and work instructionMeet production and quality performance metrics regularly and consistentlyOrganize, clean, and maintain area tools, and equipment dailyAssure all department work centers and related areas are safely maintained, clean, and organizedPerforms all work within the scope of abilities under all quality and safety policies and practicesEstablish and maintain effective, positive, and professional communication with all co-workersWillingly performs other duties as trained and ableSupervisory Responsibilities: Not ApplicableEducation & Experience:Must possess a verifiable high school diploma or equivalent (GED)Must have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentCertificates, Licenses, & Registrations: Not ApplicableQualifications, Knowledge, & Skills:Must have:Ability to work independently; to make good, sound, and timely decisions & exercise proper judgment and discretionAbility to understand, track, organize, and successfully complete multiple tasks and projectsAbility to effectively communicate and interact diplomatically with employees, customers, and associatesAbility to handle and process information in a timely and confidential mannerAbility to sustain high energy and enthusiasm with the appropriate level of urgency as neededAbility to read, interpret, and understand all drawings, routers, and process specificationsAbility to learn and accurately use company computer software programs as related to roleAbility to work independently while making good, sound, and timely decisionsAbility to receive and understand training by various methods: i.e., oral, written, on-the-job, computer-based, etc.Proficient writing and speaking skills with ability to communicate professionally, objectively, and effectivelySufficient ability to read, write, and speak in English and be understood; able to follow instructionsSufficient visual acuity (corrected) to be able to read and view paperwork, printouts, screens, etc.Sufficient manual dexterity to type and operate equipment as related to fulfilling assigned dutiesAbility to uphold and comply with the company Mission, Safety and Quality PoliciesPhysical Demands:Must have speaking ability; and sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics to enable and adequately perform the jobMust be able to sit/stand continuously on a daily basisMust be able to twist, turn, bend, and reach freely without pain or discomfortMust have sufficient dexterity in both hands and arms to perform routine operation of equipmentPhysical activity: Sitting, walking, standing, typing, holding, grasping, etc. approximately 70% of timeBending, reaching outwards and above shoulders, and lifting twenty pounds unassisted approximately 30% of timeWork Environment:Job activities are generally performed in a lighted, temperature-controlled, and well-ventilated factory environment.One will be exposed to changes in ambient temperature, noise, and dust without abnormal hazards or risks.
