Job description

Deburring & Finishing TechnicianAt KMM Group, the final details matter. We're looking for a Deburring & Finishing Technician to help turn precision-machined components into finished products that meet demanding customer specifications.At KMM, our team supports mission-critical components for medical device, aerospace, defense, space exploration, and high-tech manufacturing. The parts moving through our shop may support surgical tools, life-saving equipment, space manufacturing, aircraft, and advanced technology. This is hands-on work with a future attached to it.We offer the option of working 4 ten-hour shifts, Monday - Thursday. Enjoy a long weekend!Job RequirementsYou'll use hand tools and specialized equipment to deburr and finish precision components while supporting quality and production requirements.Deburr and finish precision-machined parts to customer specificationsUse hand tools and specialty deburring and finishing equipmentOperate automated passivation and parts-washing systemsPerform titanium anodizing and related finishing processesPerform sandblasting, cleaning, and other finishing operationsInspect parts for burrs, surface imperfections, and finishing qualityFollow routers, work instructions, drawings, and customer specificationsAccurately record production, inspection, scrap, and rework informationIdentify and report quality, safety, and nonconformance issuesAssist with product flow, material handling, and production supportMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaWhat We're Looking ForPreferred Requirements:Strong attention to detail and commitment to qualityMechanical aptitude and ability to work with your handsAbility to safely use hand tools and production equipmentAbility to follow work instructions and process requirementsDependability and a strong team mindsetWillingness to learn specialized manufacturing processesWe're willing to train the right person. Previous experience with deburring, metal finishing, precision machining, hand tools, sandblasting, passivation, anodizing, parts washing, inspection, or CNC manufacturing is a plus. Experience from manufacturing, machining, fabrication, automotive, mechanical, maintenance, technical school, or other hands-on environments may transfer well to this position.Physical RequirementsTo perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual must be able to:Stand and/or sit for extended periodsFrequently use hands and fingers to handle parts, tools, and equipmentPerform repetitive hand and wrist movements associated with deburring and finishingVisually inspect small features, surfaces, edges, and precision componentsBend, reach, stoop, and move throughout a manufacturing environmentLift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds as requiredSafely operate equipment and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.ITAR RequirementKMM is an ITAR-registered facility.
