Job description
Robert Half is seeking a skilled Defense Litigation Paralegal to support a busy legal team in Downtown Manhattan. This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal with litigation experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can provide immediate support with discovery and case management functions.
Candidates with either defense or plaintiff-side litigation experience are encouraged to apply.
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Downtown Manhattan, NY (On-Site)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Pay Rate : $30-$35 per hour
Responsibilities
Provide litigation support throughout all phases of the case lifecycle.
Assist with discovery, including document collection, organization, review, and production.
Draft and prepare discovery-related correspondence, including good faith letters.
Support attorneys with motion practice, including preparation and filing of motions and related documents.
Manage case files, pleadings, exhibits, and litigation calendars.
Coordinate with attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed.
Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of litigation-related tasks.
Assist with legal research and other administrative litigation support duties.
Qualifications
3-5 years of litigation paralegal experience.
Defense litigation experience preferred; plaintiff-side litigation experience will also be considered.
Strong understanding of discovery procedures and document management.
Experience drafting good faith letters required.
Motion practice experience is a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems.
Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume workload
