This position is 1pm-7pm with rotating weekends.We offer the following benefits so you can excel at work and in life.• New competitive rates!• We support and care about our employees.• Beautiful location and comfortable working environment• Flexible scheduling• Continuous learning-tuition reimbursement• Excellent benefits• Generous vacation packagePositions Summary:Provides psychosocial support and therapeutic services to residents to contribute to and enhance their emotional, cognitive, social, recreational, and spiritual needs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist the Director by planning and carrying out various group activity programs.Interacts with residents in group and independent situations and engages them in sensory stimulation activities.Motivates and encourages residents to attend provided programs.Acquaints self with all facility's residents. Adapts recreational programs according to resident's diagnosis and suggests new and creative ideas from which the residents would benefit.Observes and identifies resident reactions while they are engaged in group and independent situations and reports progress to Director of Therapeutic Recreation and documents when assigned.Assists in transporting residents to and from programs and is actively involved in all activities unless medically unable.Accurately completes daily attendance for one-on-one and groups assignments as well as other necessary paperwork as assigned.Carries out resident feeding during Therapeutic Recreation programs.Performs all tasks and duties in an efficient and safe manner.Qualifications:Experience working in a long term facility preferredC.N.A license in the state of RIWe're an equal opportunity employer.
