Job description
Stew Leonard’s, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop.
nDemos Host/Hostess
nSeasonal Hourly – Estimated pay range $17.25 to $18 depending on qualifications and experience
nMust be at least 18 years and older
nPosition Description:
nInteracting directly with customers at various service bars (Bakery, BBQ, Coffee, Deli, Demo, Fish, Ice Cream, Meat, and Produce) in handing out samples of various products. Answering customers questions about the sample and offering recommendations about product pairings. Managing pop up stations, as needed.
nYour day-to-day:
nnnSetting up your designated section for the day

nnMaintaining quality demos all day for customers to sample, working with department in replenishing products
n
nnAnswering questions about products
n
nnGreeting customers and engaging in conversations
n
nnCleaning equipment used for product
n
nnLearning different items in each department
n
