nGeneral Function:
nProvides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service. Prepares a demonstration of a product for the customers in the store. Offers customers samples of the product, explains the product and makes suggestions for preparation.

nAccountable and Reports to: District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Manager of; Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home, Service Managers

nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:
nnnProvides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
n
nnSmiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee’s designated department or elsewhere in the store.
n
nnMakes an effort to learn customers’ names and to address them by name whenever possible.
n
nnAssists customers by: (examples include)
n
nnescorting them to the products they’re looking for
n
nnsecuring products that are out of reach
n
nnloading or unloading heavy items
n
nnmaking note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests
n
nnperforming other tasks in every way possible to enhance the shopping experience.
n
nnAnswers the telephone promptly when called upon and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call.

nnWorks with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.

nnPrepares product for sampling.

nnOffers samples to customers.
n
nnAnswers customers’ product related questions.
n
nnExplains products and makes suggestions on preparation.

nnOrganizes items needed to do demonstration.

nnInsures adequate supplies are available.

nnUnderstands and practices proper sanitation procedures and ensures the work area is always clean and neat.

nnMaintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.

nnAdheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.

nnReports to work when scheduled and on time.

n nSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:
nnnStocks supplies needed for demonstration.
n
nnAssists in other areas of store as needed.
n
nnPerforms other job related duties and special projects as required.
n
n nEducation and Experience:
nHigh school or equivalent experience. Less than six months of similar or related work experience.
nPhysical Requirements:
nnnMust be physically able to perform light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally; up to 10 pounds of force frequently; and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
n
nnVisual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
n
nnMust be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
n
n nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
nnnMust have the ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions; deal with a few concrete variables.
n
nnAbility to do simple addition and subtraction; copying figures, counting and recording.
n
nnMust have the ability to have increased contact with people, interview or advise people.

n nWorking Conditions:
nThis position is exposed to dirt, noise, and potential electrical shock on a daily basis. This is a fast pace work environment.
