Dental AssistantFL, Sneads - Apalachee West Unit_101 - Sneads, FL 32460OverviewPosition Type Full-Time Job Shift Day Education Level High School Diploma/GED Travel Percentage None Category Dental Hygienist & Dental AssistantDescriptionCenturion is proud to be the provider of dental services to the Florida Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at Apalachee Correctional Institution- West Unit located in Sneads, Florida.The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.Essential Duties:Preparing and sterilizing dental instrumentsPreparing and maintaining the dental operatoryOperating radiographic equipmentAdministrative tasks as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent requiredCompletion of a technical school program in dental assisting or 12 months of experience as a Dental Assistant requiredCertified Dental Assistant license and/or Expanded Dental Assistant Certificate or ability to obtain one required within first 6 months of employmentFlorida Radiograph Certificate, or ability to obtain one required within the first 6 months of employmentPurified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation preferred, or willing to obtain one upon hireCertified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or willing to obtain one upon hireAbility to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background checkAvailable Shift: Days, 6AM-4:30PM EST; Monday-ThursdayWe offer excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits for our full-time team members including:Health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance401(k) with company matchGenerous paid time offPaid holidaysFlexible Spending AccountContinuing Education benefitsMuch more...Centurion Health contracts with state and local governments nationwide to provide comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings.
