Dental AssistantFL, Crawfordville - Wakulla Correctional Institution - Crawfordville, Florida 32327OverviewPosition Type: Full-Time Job Shift: Day Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Travel Percentage: None Category: Dental Hygienist & Dental AssistantDescriptionCenturion is proud to be the provider of dental services to the Florida Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at Wakulla Correctional Institution located in Crawfordville, Florida.The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.Essential Duties:Preparing and sterilizing dental instrumentsPreparing and maintaining the dental operatoryOperating radiographic equipmentAdministrative tasks as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent requiredCompletion of a technical school program in dental assisting or 12 months of experience as a Dental Assistant requiredCertified Dental Assistant license and/or Expanded Dental Assistant Certificate or ability to obtain one required within first 6 months of employmentFlorida Radiograph Certificate, or ability to obtain one required within the first 6 months of employmentPurified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation preferred, or willing to obtain one upon hireCertified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or willing to obtain one upon hireAbility to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background checkAvailable Shift: Days, 5AM-3:30PM; Tuesday-Friday.We offer excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits for our full-time team members including:Health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance401(k) with company matchGenerous paid time offPaid holidaysFlexible Spending AccountContinuing Education benefitsMuch more...
