Dental AssistantFL, De Funiak Springs - Walton Correctional Institution - De Funiak Springs, FL 32433OverviewPosition Type Full-Time Job Shift Day Education Level High School Diploma/GED Travel Percentage None Category Dental Hygienist & Dental AssistantDescriptionCenturion is proud to be the provider of dental services to the Florida Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at Walton Correctional Institution located in De Funiak Springs, Florida.The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.Essential Duties:Preparing and sterilizing dental instrumentsPreparing and maintaining the dental operatoryOperating radiographic equipmentAdministrative tasks as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent requiredCompletion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant requiredDental Assistant license or ability to obtain one requiredCertification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employmentCertification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferredMust show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screeningMust be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background checkAvailable Shift: 6AM-4:30PM; Monday-Thursday scheduleWe offer excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits for our full-time team members including:Health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance401(k) with company matchGenerous paid time offPaid holidaysFlexible Spending AccountContinuing Education benefitsMuch more...Centurion Health contracts with state and local governments nationwide to provide comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings.
