Dental AssistantFL, Orlando - Central Florida Reception Center - Orlando, FloridaPosition Type: Full-Time Job Shift: Day Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Travel Percentage: None Category: Dental Hygienist & Dental AssistantCenturion is proud to be the provider of dental services to the Florida Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at CFRC - Central Florida Reception Center located in Orlando, Florida.The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.Essential Duties:Preparing and sterilizing dental instrumentsPreparing and maintaining the dental operatoryOperating radiographic equipmentAdministrative tasks as neededHours: 6am to 3pm Monday-Thursday and 6am to 12:30pm on FridayQualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalent requiredCompletion of a technical school program in dental assistingDental Assistant license in FloridaCertification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employmentCertification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferredMust have BLS - Basic Life Support certificationAbility to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
