Dental Assistant (80553)GA, Macon - Central State Prison - Macon, GA 31208OverviewPosition Type Full-Time Job Shift As Needed Education Level High School Diploma/GED Category Dental Hygienist & Dental AssistantDescriptionCenturion is proud to be the provider of mental health and dental services to the Georgia Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team at the Central State Prison and Burruss Correctional Training located in Macon & Forsyth, Georgia.The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision, assisting the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting. Additional responsibilities include preparing and sterilizing dental instruments, preparing and maintaining the dental operatory, operating radiographic equipment, and additional administrative tasks as needed.Schedule - Mon-Thurs 6am-4:30pmQualificationsHigh school diploma or its recognized equivalentCompletion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six months of experience as a dental assistant requiredGeorgia DA license or ability to obtain licenseCertification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employmentCertification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferredMust maintain current tuberculosis screening documentation and active CPR certificationAbility to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background checkWe offer excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits for our full-time team members including:Health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance401(k) with company matchGenerous paid time offPaid holidaysFlexible Spending AccountContinuing Education benefitsMuch more...
