We are currently seeking a fulltime Dental Assistant to join our team at South Florida Reception Center - Main Unit located in Doral, Florida.The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.Essential Duties:Preparing and sterilizing dental instrumentsPreparing and maintaining the dental operatoryOperating radiographic equipmentAdministrative tasks as neededMonday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pmQualifications• High school diploma or GED equivalent required • Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required • Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain one required • Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employment • Certification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferred • Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening • Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) • Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check Benefits We offer excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits for our full-time team members including: Health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance401(k) with company matchGenerous paid time offPaid holidaysFlexible Spending AccountMuch more...
