We are committed to helping the population we serve, and our communities, achieve optimum health and enjoy the best quality of life possible.The Certified Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the dental practice.Responsibilities:Identifies patient concerns and communicates to provider, updates patient medical history, pain assessments, ID patientDemonstrates skills and knowledge when preparing and setting up operatory for procedures and educating patients at the request of the providerCross covers and assists front desk as neededDemonstrates skills and knowledge when interacting with patient and provider with clear concise communicationPrepares patient for scheduled procedureDecontaminates instruments & equipmentPrepares instruments for sterilization according to policiesReports damaged or missing instrumentsMaintains adequate stock levelsMaintains infection control standardsEducation:High School or GED, requiredExperience:Minimum 1 year experience in the dental field, preferredLicensure/Certifications:Certified Dental Assistant, preferredBLS Certification, requiredCPR Certification, requiredSkills:AccountabilityAttention to DetailCommunicationClinical SkillsTime ManagementPatienceSelf-MotivatedMulti-TaskingPhysical Requirements:Light Work - Exerting up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
