Dental Assistant$1,000 Sign-on BonusScope-PurposeA dental assistant in the state of Missouri may perform basic supportive dental procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist.Education/ExperienceDental Assistant Certificate from an accredited school or 2 years dental assisting experienceNitrous Oxide certificateExpanded Functions certificatesResponsibilities (including, but not limited to):Receive and prepare patients and operatories for dental treatment.Take digital x-rays.Using four-handed dentistry, assist with dental procedures, complete charting electronically, provide patient preventive education and oral hygiene instruction.Follow current infection control protocols for disinfection and sterilization of rooms, instruments and equipment.Recognize basic medical and dental emergencies.Display good customer service, communication and office teamwork.Benefits:Health Insurance – Fordland Clinic pays 90% of an individual coworker's monthly premium costs, and a significant portion of alternate plans for employee only, employee + spouse, employee+ child(ren), or family coverage.Dental Insurance – Fordland Clinic offers affordable dental insurance, as well as a buy up option for those anticipating higher expected dental expenses.Vision Insurance – that includes coverage options for eye exams, glasses, as well as contact lenses.Life Insurance – Fordland Clinic Provides $15,000 of life insurance to it's employees at no cost to the employee. Dental Clinic hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Thursday. This position may be scheduled to work any of the days the clinic is open (Monday through Thursday) and may be scheduled to arrive 15 minutes prior to opening and may be scheduled to leave one hour after closing, depending on patients scheduled.
