Dental AssistantFamily Dental Group is looking for a Dental Assistant in Fishkill, New York to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.Position Overview: As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.What we offer:Competitive hourly pay $23Min-$26MaxFull time: Monday 8:45-5pm Tuesday 8:45-6pm Wednesday 8:45-5pm Thursday 8:45-5pm Friday 7:45am-4pmHealth, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance and disability benefits401(k) planSupport for continuing education and professional developmentModern office with advanced dental technologyResponsibilities:Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
Qualifications:
Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program1 year on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)X-Ray certification - RequiredNitrous Oxide certification is highly recommendedHigh school diploma or equivalentDental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.Legal Disclaimer: We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
