Job description

Dental AssistantSince 1985, Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless has dedicated its mission exclusively to providing services to people experiencing homelessness. AHCH provides a distinctive continuum of integrated care through outreach and site-based services to address the health-related causes and consequences of homelessness. Our vision is to live in a world that is just and without homelessness. We believe that homelessness is an issue that can be solved through access to quality health care, adequate and affordable housing, and a living wage.Are you looking for a career change or to expand your skill set? We may be the right fit for you! We are currently looking for full-time (40 hours per week) Dental Assistant to join our team. Our ideal candidate would be a team player and have previous experience in a clinic or hospital setting with underserved populations. Compassion for and an understanding of the wide variety of issues for those experiencing homelessness is a must.Our DA team works in rotating schedules doing outreach work in the field and in our clinic. We work from a harm reduction model and believe in meeting people where they are at. We view patient care holistically and work in a multidisciplinary fashion to connect our patients to various resources within our organization and without.
