Dental Assistant Job OverviewWe are seeking a dependable, motivated Dental Assistant to support our doctors and clinical team while providing an excellent patient experience. The Dental Assistant will help maintain an efficient patient flow, prepare treatment rooms, assist during procedures, maintain infection-control standards, and support the overall success of the office.Dental Assistant QualificationsKnowledge of OSHA and HIPAA Compliance Standards requiredCurrent Radiographic Certification requiredAdvanced knowledge and use of dental terminology preferredCPR certification requiredInfection Control certification requiredMeans to travel from one office to another, required as necessaryVast knowledge of different types of dental proceduresDental Assistant Responsibilities and DutiesAssist doctors during dental proceduresPrepare and break down treatment roomsFollow sterilization and infection-control protocolsTake dental radiographs when appropriately licensed/certifiedReview and prepare the schedule for upcoming proceduresEnsure rooms, instruments, and materials are ready before treatmentMaintain accurate clinical documentation as assignedSupport patient education and treatment understandingHelp maintain efficient patient flow and minimize delaysMaintain inventory and communicate supply needsWork collaboratively with doctors, front office, and clinical teamFollow company policies and all applicable dental safety requirementsAttend and participate in staff meetings and team huddlesOther duties as assigned by the Office Manager, Regional Manager, and/or DentistsDental Assistant EducationCertification from an accredited Dental Assisting program preferredDental Assistant ExperienceDental assisting experience preferred; current applicable certifications; knowledge of dental terminology and procedures; strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment; dependable attendance and punctuality; and a positive, team-oriented attitude.BenefitsDental Views offers Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Life Insurance, Supplemental Insurance, Vacation time, etc...
