Dental Assistant OpportunityChildren's Dentistry of Knoxville is looking to hire a Dental Assistant who is excited about a fun and rewarding career in the Pediatric Dental field.Children’s Dentistry of Knoxville is about relationships. Whether your child needs preventative or restorative dental care, we go the extra mile to make sure our patients can enjoy a friendly, upbeat visit and leave with healthy teeth and a big smile.We are looking for someone who graduated from an accredited dental assisting program. A great communicator that wants to make a difference in our patients care. Someone who thrives in a busy environment and is a team player. Eagerness to learn and provide extraordinary care to our patients. Previous Oral Surgery experience a plus!Responsibilities include assisting the dentist during generalized pediatric dental procedures, including general anesthesia. Cleaning the patient’s teeth. Fluoride application. Taking, exposing and developing digital radiographs (bitewings, panoramic). Providing hygiene and diet education. Taking impressions. Scheduling follow-up exams. Reviewing schedule to make sure appointments are scheduled appropriately. Set-up and tear down dental chairs and operatory rooms. Parents consults-discuss treatment plans. Cleaning and sterilizing instruments. Lab work. Restocking supplies in rooms and sterilization area. Infection control & maintenance of OSHA guidelines. Participating in marketing endeavors.
