Now Hiring: Full-Time Dental AssistantHighland Medical Center | Monterey, VirginiaHighland Medical Center is seeking a dependable and compassionate full-time dental assistant to join our dental team and support the delivery of quality, comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages.The dental assistant will work closely with our dentist to assist with dental procedures, support patient flow, maintain the dental treatment area and equipment, and help ensure patients receive a positive and comfortable experience. This position also works closely with the front office and medical teams to support the overall operation of our integrated healthcare center.Assist the dentist with dental procedures and patient careGreet and check in dental patients and update patient information as neededPrepare charts and verify patient information and insurance documentationAssist with patient flow and help ensure appointments run smoothlyTake dental x-rays under the supervision of the dentistMonitor and document patient responses to medications and treatmentsMaintain dental instruments, equipment, and suppliesAssist with infection control, safety procedures, and required testingHelp coordinate urgent dental appointments and other patient needsTrack laboratory and test results and assist with referrals and specialty appointmentsSupport communication and coordination between the dental and medical departmentsAssist other dental and front office team members with additional duties as neededMaintain patient confidentiality, dignity, and privacyPerform other duties as assignedWhat we're looking for: high school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience working in a dental setting preferred; bls certification required (training will be provided)
