If you're an enthusiastic, compassionate Orthodontic Dental Assistant who enjoys working in a collaborative, patient-focused practice, we'd love to meet you.As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you'll play a vital role in delivering outstanding patient care and supporting our orthodontist throughout the treatment journey. You'll help create an exceptional patient experience while contributing to a welcoming and efficient clinical environment.Schedule (days/hours)Monday 11:30 to 6:30 Tuesday 8 to 5 Wednesday 8 to 5:30 Thursday 10 to 7ResponsibilitiesHandle all bracket adjustmentsPrep and finish all bonds after doctor places brackets and other appliancesHandle all aligners along with other proceduresPrepare treatment rooms and patients for orthodontic procedures.Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments and procedures.Take digital radiographs, photographs, and intraoral scans as needed.Change archwires, ligatures, and orthodontic appliances as permitted by state regulations.Provide patients and families with oral hygiene instructions and appliance care education.Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols.Accurately document patient treatment and update electronic health records.Manage inventory and ensure operatories are stocked and organized.Collaborate with the clinical and administrative team to provide a seamless patient experience.QualificationsMeet all state specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties assigned in the state of employmentOrtho ExperienceCurrent CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain before start date)Strong communication and commitment to excellent patient carePreferred Qualifications2+ years of orthodontic experienceCompensation$26-$30/hourAbout UsBenefits are determined by employment status/hours worked and include paid time off ("PTO"), health, dental, vision, health savings account, telemedicine, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability insurance, employee discount programs, pet insurance, and a 401k plan.Smile Brands supports over 650 affiliated dental practices across 28 states all focused on a single mission of delivering Smiles For Everyone!® Smiles for patients, providers, employees, and community partners.
