Dental Assistant PositionAre you a skilled dental assistant looking for a unique opportunity? Do you have a passion for dental care and the flexibility to travel? If so, we have an exciting position for you!LAUKOA is currently seeking applicants to fill our Dental Assistant positions located throughout the State of Florida in support of the Medical Readiness Services for the Florida Army National Guard. Work is primarily on weekends, with some occasional weekdays. All work is on a part-time "as needed" basis. We provide health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the Florida Army National Guard (FLARNG).Duties And Responsibilities:Complete event set up, take down, and maintenance of workstation equipmentAssist during yearly examination/screening and ensure accurate charting on Military formsAssist during treatment servicesProvide Digital X-Rays to include Bitewings, PAs, and PanosScan through documentation to identify Soldier's required needsSafeguard all patient informationEnsures all actions comply with HIPAA and other appropriate federal and state laws and regulationsQualifications:CPR/BLS CertificationHigh school diploma or equivalentA valid US driver's licenseExcellent customer service skills and experience interacting with difficult clienteleUtilization of universal precautions for patient care1+ years' experience in a dental settingAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quicklyAbility to work for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speedMust submit no less than two professional references with a resumePreferred Qualifications:Active Florida Dental Radiographer certificationActive DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)Experience working in a Military settingPhysical Demands And Work Environment:Occasionally required to standOccasionally required to walkContinually required to sitContinually required to utilize hand and finger dexterityContinually required to talk or hearWhile performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quietSpecific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; and Peripheral vision.We are an Equal Opportunity/VEVRAA federal contractor.
