Traveling Periodontal Dental AssistantMidwest Dental, supported by Smile Brands, is seeking a dependable and adaptable Traveling Periodontal Dental Assistant to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated dental assistant who enjoys variety, teamwork, and working across multiple offices.Position OverviewThis is a traveling periodontal assistant position. You will travel with a periodontist approximately two weeks per month, typically on an every-other-week schedule, with the potential to expand to a third week in the future. During the alternating weeks, you will travel to offices throughout the region to support general dentists and hygienists as needed.Schedule (days/hours): Monday-Thurs 7:45-5, Friday 7:45-4ResponsibilitiesTravel with the periodontist to assigned office locations (approximately 2 weeks per month)Set up, transport, and maintain dental instruments and clinical suppliesLoad and unload instruments and equipment at each location efficiently and safelyAssist periodontist chairside during periodontal proceduresSupport general dentists and hygienists during non-periodontal weeksEnsure all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, organized, and accounted forMaintain high standards of infection control and clinical readiness across all locationsCollaborate with multiple teams across different office environmentsQualificationsMeet all state specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties assigned in the state of employmentCurrent CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain before start date)Strong communication and commitment to excellent patient careCompensation$23-$28/hr offering a $2000 Sign on BonusAbout UsBenefits are determined by employment status/hours worked and include paid time off ("PTO"), health, dental, vision, health savings account, telemedicine, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability insurance, employee discount programs, pet insurance, and a 401k plan.Smile Brands supports over 650 affiliated dental practices across 28 states all focused on a single mission of delivering Smiles For Everyone!® Smiles for patients, providers, employees, and community partners.
