Dental AssistantWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our busy dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring smooth daily operations. The Dental Assistant will be instrumental in delivering high-quality dental services for various procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix and Dexis Imaging software is preferred to streamline medical documentation and records management.Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experienceWork Location: In personScheduleFull-timeMonday - Friday7:00 AM - 3:00 PMBenefitsMedical, dental, vision, and life insuranceHealth savings accountGenerous PTO and paid holidaysTraditional and Roth 401(k) optionsReferral Bonus ProgramFree CE courses provided by our affiliated vendorsResponsibilitiesAssist the dentist during various dental proceduresPrepare treatment operatoriesSterilizing instruments and operatoriesTake dental X-rays while adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques.X-ray certification is preferred but willing to train the proper candidateManage patient records using Dentrix and Dexis ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of medical documentation with strong organizational skillsPerform vital sign assessments and document medical history for patient records with accuracyApply infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment in compliance with OSHA standardsPatient Education such as oral health care instructions, post op instructionsTreatment Plan dental procedures to patient needsScheduling appointments and managing patient flowOperate advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners, digital x-ray units when required for diagnostic and treatmentMaintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures to ensure precise communication within the teamExperienceBilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not requiredPrior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred - willing to train the proper candidateProficiency with dental EMR systems such as Dentrix and Dexis is advantageousKnowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and dental imaging procedures including X-ray technologyFamiliarity with dentistry practices and procedures is a plusCertification or training in chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry techniques, and radiography is desirableStrong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and medical records management is essential for success in this role with strong organizational skillsThis position offers an engaging work environment where your skills contribute directly to patient care excellence while supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practiceExceptional work ethic punctuality, and responsibility is a necessity for this position
