A Kids Place Dentistry Too for Children is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our team in Seattle, WA!Key Details:Pay: $23 – 27/hour, Depending on experienceBenefits: Employer subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance; PTO; and (after 1 year of employment) 401k with matching and holiday payLocation: 2617 California Ave SW Seattle, WA 98116Schedule: This is a Full Time, Monday-Thursday role with shifts starting between 6:30am – 8:30am, and ending between 2pm – 5pm, depending on the dayWho We Are:At A Kids Place Dentistry Too for Children, we're on a mission to change the myth of scary dentistry, one smile at a time! Most importantly, you approach every day with compassion, integrity, and a smile, because you understand that the little things make a big difference in a child's dental experience.Other qualifications include:1+ years' experience in a Dental Assisting role OR successful completion of a dental assisting program with externshipExperience working with children, preferredExcellent communication skills to work effectively with patients, parents, and clinic staffHealthcare BLS and WISHA trainings, preferredCurrent, Washington State Dental Assisting RegistrationAbility to pass a pre-employment professional references checkWhat You'll Do: As a Pediatric Dental Assistant you will work chairside with the doctor to promote good dental and general health through education and patient interaction.A typical day will consist of:Prepare patient for dental hygiene by welcoming, soothing, seating and draping patient.Answer questions and provide parents, or guardians with information about patients' oral health, treatment, and hygieneCommunicate and work alongside dental staff to provide the patient with high level of careCompleting and reviewing patient's chart notesExamine patients' mouth for oral health, OHI, and provide any combination of the following treatments as instructed and approved by the dentist:Perform visual examsPerform ProphiesPerform 4-6 handed dentistryAssist all dental preventative and restorative proceduresTake x-rays and intraoral photosApply sealantsArrest dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agentsMix filling compoundsTake impressions of teethA Kids Place Dentistry for Children is an equal opportunity employer.
