Dental Assistant - Smith State PrisonGA, Glennville - Smith State Prison - Glennville, GA 30427Position Type: Full-Time Job Shift: Day Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Category: Dental Hygienist & Dental AssistantCenturion is proud to be the provider of mental health and dental services to the Georgia Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a full time Dental Assistant to join our team at the Smith State Prison located in Glennville, Georgia.The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision, assisting the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting. Additional responsibilities include preparing and sterilizing dental instruments, preparing and maintaining the dental operatory, operating radiographic equipment, and additional administrative tasks as needed.Schedule - Day Shift Mon –Thurs 6AM to 4:30PMQualifications:High school diploma or its recognized equivalentCompletion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six months of experience as a dental assistant requiredGeorgia DA license or ability to obtain licenseCertification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employmentCertification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferredMust maintain current tuberculosis screening documentation and active CPR certificationAbility to obtain security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background checkBenefits:Health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance401(k) with company matchGenerous paid time offPaid holidaysFlexible Spending AccountContinuing Education benefitsMuch more...
