Job description
Dental AssistantVictoria Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is committed to providing high-quality surgical care in a welcoming, professional environment. Our team works together to ensure every patient feels informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their treatment.We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate has previous dental assisting experience and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. Oral surgery experience is strongly preferred but not required.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide chairside assistance during oral surgery proceduresPrepare patients, treatment rooms, instruments, and equipmentSterilize instruments and maintain proper infection-control standardsTake and process dental X-rays as permittedReview and update patient information and clinical documentationPrepare dental materials and surgical suppliesProvide patients with preoperative and postoperative instructionsMaintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical areaFollow all OSHA, HIPAA, safety, and sanitation requirementsCollaborate with clinical and front-office team members to support an efficient patient experienceQualificationsPrevious dental assisting experience requiredOral surgery experience strongly preferredCurrent Texas dental assistant registration or ability to obtain it, as applicableFamiliarity with dental instruments, equipment, and clinical proceduresStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesExcellent communication and patient-service skillsDependable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work effectively as part of a teamBenefitsCompetitive compensationHealth insurancePaid time offOpportunities for professional growth and developmentIf you are passionate about patient care and would like to grow your skills in an oral surgery setting, we encourage you to apply.
