Job description
Dental TechnicianKey ResponsibilitiesPerform ceramic layering and anatomical carving on implant abutments and superstructures for implant crown fabricationPrecisely adjust margins and contact points on implant copings and frameworks; verify and correct fit prior to firingApply porcelain build-up on zirconia, PFM (Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal), and other framework materials for implant superstructuresPerform shade matching and custom characterization to achieve natural, patient-specific resultsExecute firing, glazing, and finishing processes including surface polishing, final luster, and texture refinement using rubber points, diamond paste, and polishing wheelsPerform quality inspection and final contouring and occlusal adjustment of completed implant crownsUtilize CAD/CAM systems for digital design and post-milling processing where applicableRead and interpret prescriptions and specifications received from dentistsCommunicate with partner dental clinics regarding case details including shade, design requests, and scheduling via phone and emailReceive and register orders in the ERP system; handle case intake, recordkeeping, and shipment/receipt confirmationPerform inventory checks for materials and supplies; assist with basic document organization and data entryMaintain a clean, organized work area and equipment at all timesPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in implant crown fabrication, ceramic layering, framework adapting, and polishing; level negotiable based on experienceWorking knowledge of implant superstructures including abutments and screw-retained restorationsProficiency with zirconia, E-Max, PFM, PFZ, PFG, and other common restoration materialsStrong color sense and fine manual dexterity for detailed anatomical carving and shade matchingStrong understanding of dental aesthetics and occlusionGood communication skills with ability to interact professionally with dental clinic clientsNight guard fabrication experienceComfortable with basic office software (Excel, document preparation)Strong attention to detail and patience for meticulous, repetitive workCertified Dental Technician (CDT) license preferredExperience with CAD/CAM software (3Shape, Exocad, etc.) preferredPortfolio of implant cases (single crowns, bridges, etc.) preferredExperience with client-facing communication or sales support for dental clinics preferredCompletion of overseas dental technology training (e.g., German or Japanese layering techniques) preferredWillingness to learn new digital dentistry technologies preferredCompensation & BenefitsHourly Rate: $25 – $40 per hour depending on experienceMedical, Dental & Vision Insurance coverage for you and your familyLife Insurance & AD&D: Basic Life Insurance and AD&D, 100% company-sponsoredDisability Insurance: Short-term and long-term disability, 100% company-sponsored401(k) Plan: Company match up to 5% of salaryPaid Time Off: 15 days in the first year (6 vacation + 9 sick days), increasing to 20 days from the second yearBirthday PTO: One paid day off on your birthdayPaid Holidays: 10 paid holidays per yearAbout HiossenHiossen, established by its parent company Osstem in 2006 in Pennsylvania, USA, saw its evolution into Hiossen Implant by 2007 in NJ.
