GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:The Dental Program Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the Dental program across all Su Clinica sites. This role is responsible for program performance, quality, access, and growth, and working in close partnership with Clinic/Practice Managers and clinical leadership to ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery. This position manages day-to-day clinic operations at individual sites, and focuses on program development, standardization of workflows, provider support, and performance improvement across locations.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (with or without accommodations)Program Leadership & StrategyLeads the development and execution of Dental program strategy across all sitesIdentifies opportunities for program growth, service expansion, and improved patient accessPartners with executive leadership to align program goals with organizational prioritiesPerformance Management & AccountabilityOwns program-level performance metrics, including:Visit volumeAccess (appointment availability)Quality measures (dental screenings)Analyzes data trends and drives improvement initiatives across sitesWorks with operations to address performance gapsOperations PartnershipPartners with Clinic/Practice Managers to support consistent implementation of workflowsManages front desk, staffing schedules, or daily clinic operationsSupports dental providers in optimizing patient flow and care deliveryQuality & ComplianceEnsures compliance with all Dental related grants and programsPartners with clinical leadership to support high-quality improvement initiativesMonitors adherence to regulatory and HRSA requirementsTeam & Culture LeadershipPromotes a collaborative, accountable, and patient-centered culture across Dental teamsAddresses behavioral and cultural issues in partnership with clinic managers and HRSupports staff development, training, and engagementKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: (use of equipment, job related knowledge, language, etc.)Core Competencies:Strong leadership and change agent management skills in a multi-site healthcare environmentAbility to drive performance improvement using data and operational metricsDemonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across clinical, operational, and administrative teamsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutionsEffective communication skills, including the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholdersCommitment to patient-centered care and health equityTechnical & Operational SkillsKnowledge of FQHC operations, including PCMH model and regulatory requirementsExperience with healthcare data analysis, reporting, and performance managementFamiliarity with electronic health records (EHR) and related clinical systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Understanding of care coordination, referrals management, and access optimization strategiesProfessional & Organizational ExpectationsAbility to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all organizational policies and proceduresAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environmentStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities across sitesBilingual (English/Spanish) preferredAbility to travel between clinic sites as neededStandard Physical RequirementsAbility to perform essential job functions, including use of standard office equipmentAbility to travel between sites and attend meetings as requiredMinimum Qualifications/Certificates/Licenses/Registrations Required:Bachelor’s required; master’s preferred (MPH, MHA, MBA, or related) Experience desired will substitute for education on a year-by-year basis.5+ years in healthcare program management or clinical operationsExperience in Dental operations strongly preferredDemonstrated experience with:Performance improvementData-driven decision-makingMulti-site program oversightStrong leadership and changing agent management skillsSPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:Due to the nature of SCF Services, it may be necessary for employees to work extended hours or other variations of the usual shift to ensure adequate care of patients and to maintain service to the community.
