Job description

Denture Technician / Lead Removable TechnicianA small, established full-service dental laboratory in South Jersey is seeking an experienced Denture Technician / Lead Removable Technician to join its team.This is a hands-on role for a technician who can confidently take denture cases from start to finish with minimal supervision. The laboratory has a close-knit team environment and is looking for someone who can step into a key role within the removable department.The ideal candidate will have strong traditional analog denture skills and the ability to manage the denture workflow independently. Digital denture experience is a plus, but not required.The Denture Technician will be responsible for handling start-to-finish denture production, including setups, processing, finishing, repairs, and related removable work.This person will serve as the primary denture technician within the lab. While there are other team members who can assist with certain steps such as custom trays, bite blocks, and some repairs, the new hire must be able to independently complete full denture cases and support the department's daily production needs.The lab currently has digital denture equipment available, but most denture work is still completed using traditional analog methods. A technician with digital denture knowledge would be welcomed and could help guide the lab as it expands that workflow, but the top priority is strong start-to-finish analog denture experience.Key ResponsibilitiesFabricate full and partial dentures from start to finishPerform denture setups, processing, finishing, and polishingComplete denture repairs, relines, tooth additions, and related removable workRead and interpret prescriptions, models, and case instructionsEnsure proper occlusion, fit, function, and estheticsManage daily denture workflow with minimal supervisionCoordinate with other technicians and support staff to keep cases moving efficientlyPerform same-day denture repairs when neededWork with patients in the lab setting for repairs or adjustments when requiredAssist with expanding removable services, including chairside conversions, if experiencedMaintain quality standards and ensure completed work meets clinical expectationsKeep an organized, clean, and efficient workstationQualificationsStrong experience as a denture technician in a dental laboratory settingAbility to complete dentures from start to finish independentlyStrong analog denture skills requiredExperience with denture setups, processing, finishing, polishing, and repairsAbility to perform relines, repairs, tooth additions, and related removable proceduresExperience with partial dentures is preferredDigital denture experience is a plus, but not requiredChairside conversion experience is a plusComfortable working in a small team environmentStrong manual dexterity and attention to detailAbility to work independently without extensive trainingReliable, team-oriented, and looking for a stable long-term opportunityThis is a small, team-oriented dental laboratory where each team member plays an important role in daily production. The lab is looking for someone dependable, experienced, and comfortable taking ownership of the denture department.The ideal candidate does not need heavy supervision and can help maintain consistent removable production while working collaboratively with the rest of the lab team.ScheduleThis is a full-time position. The lab values stability and does not reduce hours during slower periods. During slower seasons, technicians may occasionally finish early while still maintaining full-time compensation, depending on workload and production needs.Compensation and BenefitsTarget compensation range: $30–$32 per hour, based on experienceOpen to discussing compensation for the right candidateTwo weeks of paid vacationStable full-time opportunitySmall, supportive lab environmentOpportunity to take ownership of the removable departmentAdditional benefits may be discussed as part of the overall compensation package
